Jaws PDF Server is a server-based software solution for PDF creation and optimization. Pre-defined PDF configurations allow users to send optimized files directly to printing presses or desktop printers. Also, files are optimized for downloading or viewing when published on the web. Cost-effective, the software allows users to quickly, easily create and share PDF files enterprise wide.

Jaws PDF Server has a powerful and intuitive drag-and-drop workflow management interface that allows administrators to easily specify access and usage parameters among users, and automatically manage a PDF workflow.

Deploy simple PDF creation capabilities to Windows clients including ‘print to PDF’ from within almost any application; or click on a toolbar icon in Microsoft® Word and PowerPoint to easily create ‘intelligent’ PDF files. Mac® and Unix®/Linux workstations can also ‘print to PDF’.

What is ‘intelligent’ PDF? When using the simple ‘print to PDF’ function, you create a 'picture' of your document. When using the macros, you automatically create an enhanced document that contains additional capabilities such as bookmarks created from headings and styles. As you subsequently consolidate other documents to create larger documents in your Document Management System, these capabilities are very important for building PDF documents that have enhanced value in terms of searching and finding relevant information and navigation.

Jaws PDF Server can also be used to create powerful PDF workflow solutions where PostScript® language, Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) and TIFF™ files can be placed into hot folders for conversion to optimized PDF files and subsequent distribution.
